Patients

No matter how small or simple the procedure may be, it’s natural to feel a bit anxious about having surgery.  We often hear people describe what we do as "minor surgery", but as any prospective patient will tell you, it's never minor when it's you or a loved one on the operating table.  As a patient, you expect to have a safe, comfortable, and successful procedure, and that’s exactly what our member facilities expect to provide for you.

Our members are dedicated to providing our patients with the best in high-quality, cost-effective care.   Ambulatory Surgery Centers [ASC's] are known for being very convenient, easily accessible and having a simple check-in process.  We intentionally strive to provide care and service in a warm and personalized fashion.

100% of our Members are licensed by the State of Alabama Department of Public Health and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.  In addition to meeting these standards, all of our Members have voluntarily applied for and received accreditation from either The Joint Commission or The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.  All of the above organizations routinely inspect our facilities to insure we are operating in a manner that meets or exceeds their established standards of care and safety.

ASC's provide high-quality health care and at a low cost.  ASC's are paid approximately $.50 on the dollar compared to hospital based outpatient surgery under Medicare.  Similar differences are also found with surgery paid under commercial health insurance plans.  Copays may not always represent this difference, however any deductible or percentage based coverage will significantly highlight the savings offered by ASC's.
